Sputter coater

Cressington 208HR

Sputter coating process is used in scanning electron microscopy. It is the process of covering a specimen with a thin layer of conducting material. The conductive material is needed to prevent charging of the specimen with an electron beam in SEM mode. There are two targets available in our Cressington 208HR equipment for sputter coating, Au/Pd and Au/Pt with a ratio of 60:40.
